It’s only by the grace of God I am the woman I am today.

Many of you have inquired about pricing, and why I have waited to list any on my website. About 15 years ago, I made a promise to God. I told Him if I ever had the opportunity to have my own business, and if the visions and desires I carried in my heart came to pass, I would give back. I would serve Him and His people.
This past year, under the leadership of Pastors Chris and Phebee Allsop, our church Glory House Church has been leaning into a powerful message: giving God our first. For us, that means dedicating the first hour of every week to God. I had never heard pastors make giving feel so tangible and attainable—not just focused on the traditional 10% tithe. And to be clear, I have nothing against giving a tenth or more—that’s beautiful if you have it. But the reality is, there are seasons when we don’t. And in those seasons, many of us are working multiple jobs or juggling responsibilities, and we aren’t always able to participate in financial giving and or physically in the church the way we want to.
So when it comes to giving, I know it can be a sensitive topic. I’m just speaking from my personal experience.
For those who may not know, I’ve been working as an independent consultant for the last 7 years. And this year, I officially launched Olivia’s Mission LLC, which focuses on supporting women—primarily women, although I’ve had men reach out, too. My heart is open to however God wants to use me.
Olivia’s Mission was created to build safe, affirming spaces for women to feel heard and supported. I offer peer-led support groups—please note, I’m not a licensed therapist. I identify as someone with lived experience. I am a trauma survivor. But beyond that, I’ve worked as a paid Community Health Worker (CHW) for 28 years—although honestly, I’ve been doing this kind of work for over 40 years, simply by necessity and lived experience. I’ve seen how God has healed me and used my testimony within my family and circle of friends.
I’ve experienced racial trauma and have navigated systemic inequities, and Olivia’s Mission is one way I help bridge those gaps. I connect people with resources and am grateful for the many amazing community partners I collaborate with. I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay. I’m just doing my part, with the mission God placed in my heart.
I also provide Community Health Worker trainings, behavioral health trainings, and public health trainings. I customize and create curricula as well. For the past year, I’ve also offered website design services.
What makes Olivia’s Mission different is our approach to actively listening—listening to understand the whole person, not just to respond. You hear a lot of buzzwords like trauma-informed or person-centered, but often the voices of those who’ve lived through trauma are either left out entirely or only included on paper—not truly centered in the process.
Since I was a little girl, my mother always said I was intuitive. I believe in speaking the truth, and I believe that the truth can set us free. I also believe that what we don’t speak often bleeds into other areas of our lives. As a Boricua, I was raised hearing, “What happens at home stays at home.” But that mindset has helped perpetuate generational trauma. I explore this more deeply in my upcoming book, There’s a Purpose for Your Pain, which will be launching in the next couple of months.
As for this post—I want to share why there haven’t been price ranges on my website. It’s because of that promise I made to God, to give Him my first. That 100 hours has now been fulfilled. And with that commitment honored, I will be adding pricing for those who would like to book my services.
Thank you in advance for considering me. I’m here to accompany you on your journey.
With love and purpose,
Areliz O. Barbosa, CHW, BS
